The Infallible NFL ’16 Week 14 Straight Picks

Where did I go for 8 weeks? Yikes! And I’ve been so mediocre and it was totally worth paying attention to (sarcasm font). Well, with 4 weeks left to go let’s see what I can muster up. This week is a pivotal one so hopefully I don’t let you down.

Overall record 111-79.

Week 13 record 9-6. (forgot about TNF)

Oakland at Kansas City. Finally, a good Thursday night game! This is a tricky one. And both have been able to pull games out one way or another. The Raiders have a good offense but have taken some time to get things together. My money is on Spencer Ware to run and run often. Chiefs 31, Raiders 24

Pittsburgh at Buffalo. Neither team has had much consistency in results, but both have been able to produce a solid run game pretty regularly. LeSean McCoy has been great of recent and Le’Veon Bell has been pretty solid as well. It’s up to Big Ben and the defense to pull this one one. Tyrod has been good recently. Bills 24, Steelers 21

Chicago at Detroit. How good have the Lions been the past few weeks? Finally they will be favored across the board. So expect the Bears to keep this one close with heavy doses of Jordan Howard. Damn Matthew Stafford has been good. Lions 27, Bears 23

Cincinnati at Cleveland. After a week off the Browns are looking to finally get in the win column. The dynamic pairing of Corey Coleman and Terrelle Pryor should get on the board and make this one interesting but the Bengals looked half decent last week. Bengals 31, Browns 20

Denver at Tennessee. Without a QB that can move the chains it’s tough seeing the Broncos winning on the road. Marcus Mariota has been good all year long and the Titans are finally doing well along with him. Titans 20, Broncos 16

Houston at Indianapolis. Was last week against the pathetic Jets an aberration? With a division lead on the line in this one and no real offensive identity for either side, this should be an interesting one. Colts 28, Texans 17

Arizona at Miami. Both teams are fighting for the playoffs. It’s not quite sure which one is headed is the right direction. The Fins got beat down and the Cards did some beating. Who’s gonna stop David Johnson? Cardinals 30, Dolphins 24

Minnesota at Jacksonville. Are the Vikes bad enough to lose to the Jags? Did anyone think that would even be a question as of Week 6? Minnesota will need some offense or at least a few Blake Bortles interception returns for a touchdown to pull this one out. Vikings 21, Jaguars 13

Washington at Philadelphia. The Skins are a good team that has had some bad luck. Unfortunately, that’s not going to get them into the playoffs. The Eagles still have a chance to make it but they can’t lose again. Redskins 33, Eagles 28

San Diego at Carolina. No way the Panthers don’t respond to coach Ron Rivera’s harsh criticism. They aren’t defending their conference championship, but will they instead play their way into the top 10 of the draft? Poor Charger fans have to deal with a mediocre product every year mixed in with a little bad luck. Chargers 27, Panthers 22

NYJ at San Francisco. Uh, this one should be fun. Kaepernick seemed like a bright spot until the snow came last weekend and the Jets….are the Jets. 49ers 19, Jets 16

Atlanta at Los Angeles. Matt Ryan literally threw away last week’s game and the Falcons are still fighting for their collection lives’. The Rams wish they had Atlanta’s problems, though it was hardly Jared Goff’s fault for how badly they played a week ago. Falcons 37, Rams 24

Seattle at Green Bay. Seattle is surging and the Pack looked much better last week. Green Bay wasn’t going to run on Seattle even if the running game was doing well. So Earl Thomas’ injury only helps the Cheeseheads in this one. Packers 30, Seahawks 26

New Orleans at Tampa Bay. We kept thinking the Drew Brees was going to pull it together and make this team competitive. But it just hasn’t happened. With two games against the suddenly explosive Bucs, can New Orleans play the role of the spoiler? Buccaneers 26, Saints 24

Dallas at NYG. The Cowboys won’t be slowing down any time soon. Whether that means Tony Romo will be making any kind of cameos is also not certain, but without JPP in the fold Dallas shouldn’t have much resistance. How many crazy catches will ODB Jr. make? Cowboys 24, Giants 20

Baltimore at New England. With Gronk out it will be interesting to see what the Patriots do to move the ball. But let’s not act like they don’t have talent at the disposal of Tom Brady. Both defenses have been solid as well. Really interested to see if Flacco can come through in Foxborough. Ravens 28, Patriots 24
