Pain and Suffering

No, the title doesn’t refer to the effects of being a professional wrestler for what feels like 50 years. And, no, the topic is not sports related as professional wrestling is as fake as whatever nonsense Kris Kardashian spews in her book about parenting. It does, however, refer to the reason Hulk Hogan is getting 115 million dollars for a leaked sex tape for eons ago.

Besides the fact that Gawker didn’t have the legal rights to leak the video, Hogan (real name Terry Bollea) was also seen uttering the “n” word while having sex with an ex whose name I don’t have the energy to look up. His claim that the use of this word has hurt his marketability and sustainability is sort of valid. If he wasn’t going to ever say something like that in front of a camera it isn’t crazy to imagine the Hulkster still having his job.

hulknew248But remember when Hogan filed for bankruptcy? Just like every other has-been Hollywood figure, Hogan filed chapter 7 and bit the bullet. Then he got some work in the WWE and things were on the upswing. You gotta think his ex-wife Linda might be privy to some of this dough, but what is even crazier is that he had an outside chance of getting up to 3 times as much money (and got 25 million)!

Still, the guy doesn’t deserve another chance. He’s had plenty of opportunities to make money and live a normal life (like not revenge-marrying a girl the age of his not attractive, maybe-giant daughter). And how are we to assume this shit wasn’t done on purpose? I mean, if it was it was brilliant. Seriously. The old guy bangs a nobody on video then leaks it the media whilst using a racist profanity and then sues. It’s not like he had anything to lose.
