The fast-food chain Chipotle continues to stay in the news over recent outbreaks of E. coli, salmonella, and norovirus. It started in Boston a little over a month ago, most notably, when a large number of Boston College’s Men’s Basketball team got sick following a visit to an on-campus franchise. This was the last and only time this team was in the news at all.
Anyways, since that fiasco that involved a few handfuls more students, more problems have been reported around the country and sales continue to plummet. Chipotle has attempted to do some training and continuing ed on how to properly take care of meats (even though that should have been done in the first place). Different gimmicks have been put into place including various free giveaways and still sales have suffered.
How does one get over such a blatantly obvious hole in their otherwise putrid diet? College students and overweight people around the country must be suffering to no end. Maybe it’s just my weak stomach, but just about every time I ate Chipotle (going back 10 years or so) I spent my next hour at home in the bathroom reading the articles in Playboy.
