Due to an economy that’s showing no real signs of trending upwards, the citizens of Thailand have clung to a new hope. These “look thep” or “child angel” dolls are a sign of hope for the mostly Buddhist country.
Thailand is like the New Orleans of the Asia in that it’s humid, quirky, and people believe in voodoo or black magic because I don’t think there’s a difference (though I’m thinking there’s not as many people going to New Orleans to touch little boys).
Anyways, these awkward little plastic baby dolls are owned by children and adults and seem to be a sign of strength. Weird. But whatever gets you by.
