Ryan Clark got on Mike and Mike on ESPN this morning and voiced his displeasure for the NBA’s choice on halftime performances (which is supposed to be Sting). And as much as it pains me to say this, I agree.
I don’t, however, think that it was necessary to continue his argument by bashing one of the greatest musicians of all-time or by dissecting one of the greatest songs of all-time, “Every Breath You Take” by The Police. Knocking a great song or person (for all he knows) isn’t being taken out of context. Clark went out of his way to prove a point that many are attempting to make in recent news.
There is little equality in the United States. There’s no denying that. And perhaps this is the best or most effective way of going about it. Still, there needs to be some kind of progression to everything. And yes, Drake is probably a better choice.
